During my past few months in Thailand, Jun has been kind enough to email me some poker stories just to rub in a bit more what I have been missing. I find them to be pretty entertaining so I am going to share them. I am leaving any formatting and mistakes as he wrote them because without them you wouldn’t be getting the true sense of a story from Jun.
“i am unemployed, thinking about collecting unemployment, if i am not
too lazy to find where it is
went to vegas last night with parents, played let it ride plus black
jack plus slots....felt like being a donkey....lost like 150 or so on
those....i dont think i ve won once on let it ride..how do u do it?
played in mgm 1-2 holdem, bought in for 1000, first hand i had sevens,
called big raise, flop full house in position, on guy bet 30 and
another call, i was thinking of smoth calling, but with no draw out
there, might be too suspicious, then i went through my i dont kno what
to do routine, then moved in, better call, adn caller folded.. ended up
130... collected one more chip from mgm hahha, i have a hell of a
record in vegas nl games huh
havent played online cash games in a while, last time i played, was six
handed .15 .25. the same guy rivered a flush and a set on me twice for
60 bucks, i had him all in draw to 9 outs with one card to go and 2
outs with two card to go, that s poker.
Been to commerce two straight times, went with kurt first time.. up
like 12 or so on 1-2 50 dollar buy in, moved in with queens and won
agianst ace king, i wont a race, believe that, then we went tot play
100 buy in , lost that, sad thing is i was so close from calling 13
more and more have flop opene ended stragiht flush draw and ended with
a straight flush, some one had a set and some one had the ace high
flush, that would have been a 220 bucks won, o well
here one of the interesting way i played against sheng in one of the
home games, he open riase with 40 cents which means nothing cuz it s
sheng, i dindt look at my cards, raise to 1 20, he calls. flop 10 9
queen, i check with out looking at my cards, he checks, then on the
turn it like a 7, so i fired at it small, like 70cents, and he calls,
then on the river was a jack, so the board was queen, jack, ten, 9, 7,
and i fired like 1 30 at it, and he s like, i dont think u got shit, so
he called me with pocket fives, boy was he shitting in his pants when i
said i have not seen my cards. lol.
so i have two cards to use to beat pockets fives with that board, i can
have a Q, J, Ten, 9, 8, 7, in either of my cards to win, and i ended up
with king 3, what a bad beat....interesting huh, i kno u would like it
been really consistent in the online tournies i ve been playing, i
think on three consecutive tournies, i ended 11, 8, and 13
the sad thing is i had kings agianst 7s all in with two 10 to go, and i
lost that, i fi had won, i would have enter the final table with the
chip lead in the 10k guarentee where the first price was like 3k, but i
didnt bad beat twice to get to that pt, so i didnt exactly throw my lab
top on the ground for that one
high stake, keep u inform, daniel agianst GUS, yes gus is in there,
here s the 600k hand which i ve calculated is 15 dollars for food per
day for 60 yrs that daniel lost which was about 300k
gus had 55, and danny had 66, dan raise and gus call, flop 5 6 9, and
checks, and danny bets, and gus raise, and danny went to trap mode and
only call the reraise
turn was the case 5, yikes for danny, now for some reason gus bets, and
danny only call to trapp again, but he was being trap,
on the river was an 8, so now th eboard reads 9 6 5 5 8, man.. danny is
so screw
freakin gus checks and danny bets 70k or so, and gus moved in, and
danny s like if i lose this, it s cooler, so he call
the most impressive thing is gus just did his tilt head thing and smirk
as he collects in the chips, danny didnt look too oupset, maybe it s
because he lost over a million in one session in the big game...i dont
kno hwo they do it
wsop main event has started and so far, hellmuth is out, but they of
course just showed a lot of freakin side stories which u kno how much i
love.
well, is this enough of poker
o here s another one, in commerce, this is the sickest call ever, after
the flop, this guy who is crazy had two undr cards, no draw no pair,
called a reraise on the flop for some reason, he hit a gut shot on the
turn and callled some mroe o f course, then ended with the nuts and
moved in and got call...when he turned it over, i was liek wtf... hahaha
o, and i called out some one s hand as he was comptemplating a call, he
limped in early, and some one raise and some one reraise, and he took
forever, he look like a straight forward player, so i was like u got
the king queen suited didnt u, hahha...he was like how u know, and i
was liek u got a mirror behind u, he was a nice guy, can take a joke”
“poker has been slow, ever since the return and bumping it up to plus 1
G in a week, it s been a struggle to win, i got the warning of bonus
abuse too, but they say as long as i wait a week to redeposit it would
be fine, made it to the last two tables twice in the 3.5 k guarentee, u
dont wanna know what happen next
stupid sheng has been bad beating me in every aspect of poker, ace jack
against my ace king is a cash game for 6 bucks, what a donkey, 7s
agianst my aces in tourny, and only hit a 11outter on me for 21 bucks,
i didnt even know it was him. The worst thing is not getting badbeat,
it was hearing about it from him like he did something right, ahhahhahah
it was sheng s bday on the 6th, got him two present, two buy ins at
hustler which he kinda blew but basically jsut card dead and got aces
cracked, i raised into his aces too, that s funny, the guy was chasing
a flush draw, hits runner straight, almost mucked it cuz he didnt
realize”

“my poker return has been good still, but lost 200 straight dollars, it
s cool, it happens
sheng s been bad beating the shit out of me and showing me up, so funny
beat my friends in tennis and horse, they been talking shit about me
being cripple, but i stil ave heart of a winner hahha
sheng got second in a big tourny on my bday, got second, 3.5 K, before
he was close to the money, he said 20% is my bday present, so i get
700, gota becareful what u say”

”hey billy, u remebr that heads up match wrong. It wasnt a suck out that
i bitched about. It was the ace jack against ace king. Remember that i
limp to trap, andu check. It came ace jack X, that was that. And i
made it sound that u screwed up that hand and got lucky on me to win,
that was awesome, cant beleive u quit after losing 5 straight, u
wouldnt do that in madden, hahah.
honestly, telling peoplet hey screw up is the best way to people on
tilt. Two things can happen,
one, they listen and start playing out of their comfort zone, aka you
last time, how many times did u put ur money in with ace 5 against my
tens, funny. Second, they dont listen, and try harder to beat u down
with their strategy, that in turn causes them to play too many pots or
play too aggreeive. Win Win.”
