Starting Hands

Not sure which hands are good to start with? Well PokerRoom.com has compiled a list of hands that generally pay off in the long run, and a list of those that don't. They've amassed data based upon millions of hands played. The down-side to this chart is that these are averages for everyone that uses PokerRoom. So a good player might make money with a hand that the average player would lose with. Still, it might be a good starting point for a player that's not really sure. I haven't tried it myself, but I will, and I'll let you know the results.

P.S. A classic question for Hold 'Em players is whether or not to raise with Ace-Jack offsuit under the gun. Check the table. 'Nuff said, in my book. ;-)
